Welcome back Belvedere Parkway families, and welcome to our new families!

We are so happy to see our school come alive as students enter the building once again. Our entire staff have worked hard to make as smooth a beginning for everyone as possible and it is wonderful to have the heart and soul back in our building.

Our community continues to give back to others as Terry Fox day approaches. This year will be held on October 4 and your child’s teacher will let you know how their Grade level cohort will be raising those ‘Toonies for Terry’ and supporting Cancer Research!

An in-person Meet the Teacher Open House evening is also coming up on Thursday September 26 4 PM – 6 PM, and IPP Meetings on Friday September 27 8AM – 1:00PM. If you will be participating in an IPP meeting please liaise directly with your child’s teacher.

Every year, we share the CBE Student code of conduct with parents, and you will find it via the link below.

Please take the time to go over this information with your child, so they are aware of expected and safe behavior for all. Our school motto ‘ROARS’ (Respect, Ownership, Attitude, Responsibility and Safety), is aligned with the code of conduct and is embedded throughout our school culture.

If your child rides the school bus, please also review bus behavior expectations. This is extremely important, as there is no supervision on the bus other than the driver and they are driving the bus. Students have a responsibility in keeping everyone/each other safe!

Our Spirit wear store is back up and running and orders are being accepted until October 31, 2024. Please visit our Merchandise page. Please also make sure you have registered to receive School Messenger emails from school. This is a crucial communication channel for our families, particularly when information needs to reach families quickly.

A huge thank you also goes to our Learning Gardens Coordinator Trina Wickson for gardening, organizing and sharing out the Sign-up Genius for Garden care this summer! Thank you to all the members of our community that tended to our Bee and Learning gardens -we literally couldn’t do it without you. The crop this year is fabulous, and harvest is racing towards us. We will be sure to share a news story when the time comes so that everyone can share the experiences all our students get out of this process!

Thanks again to every one of you for making our school such a wonderful place for our children.

Here’s hoping for a warm and colorful fall!
