BELVEDERE PARKWAY SCHOOL COUNCIL CALLING ALL FAMILIES!
We need you to help shape the future of our school by getting involved! Please join School Council & our fundraising efforts!
WHY GET INVOLVED?
Because your time, ideas, and voice make a real difference! School Council and fundraising directly support:
* Classroom and technology enhancements
* Artist-in-residence and cultural programs
* Field trips and in-school learning experiences
* Music and Phys-ed equipment
* Staff appreciation and community events
Without you, most of these initiatives are not possible.
THE BIG CHALLENGE AHEAD: THE PLAYGROUND
Our current playground is aging and could be removed in as little as 7 years! Replacing it will easily cost $350,000-$500,000… and this is a parent fund-raising responsibility!
This means it's up to us—the parent community—to fundraise and plan for the future of our children’s outdoor play space. If we don’t start the groundwork now, our students and community will be left without one.
This starts with every one of us!
NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED – JUST A WILLINGNESS TO HELP! Whether you can spare an hour a month or take on a more active role, your involvement matters. Let’s work together to support our school and make sure our kids have a place to play as well as learn

One of the most important ways parents/guardians and community members can make a meaningful difference for students is by participating on the school council. Under the Education Act, a school council is a collective association designed to advise the principal and the CBE Board of Trustees on matters related to the school. School councils have legislated advisory and decision-making authority defined within the Education Act and the School Councils Regulation. They are different from Parent Societies & Associations, whose main function is to raise funds for the school. You can find more details in the CBE School Council Handbook.
